Seinfeld was the only sitcom I ever watched regularly.
Pretty much your list. But I would add Silver Spoons. I always wanted a train in my living room. I guess we just dated ourselves.
Fresh Prince of Bel-Air!
I liked Clarissa Explains It All (does that even count) and Saved By The Bell, too.
How could I forget Silver Spoons! Also, have to add Three’s Company to my list.
crunchaweezy: You dare. I liked it also.
Hell yeah.. Three’s Company too. Roseanne was also pretty big back then. It was the first sit-com I remember that exposed the dysfunctional family. It was like my house with better jokes.
Fresh Prince, Saved by the Bell, Friends (uhh define childhood?), Cosby Show, Bewitched, I Dream Of Jeanie, Who’s the Boss, 3’s Company, probably 10 more.
I watched I Love Lucy re-runs, too.
some are from my era, but others were from an older generation, which were my dads beta tapes.
fresh prince
full house
sanford and son
cosby show—(i used to understand it, but now i dont)
reba—now i hate it
seinfeld is my ultra-favorite
oh, and this may no apply to childhood, but frasier is growing on me, and it is very underrated.
Don’t forget Family Ties!
God, you guys make me feel old. I liked Green Acres, Bewitched and I Dream of Jeanie. Also Sanford and Son and Chico and the Man. Bob Newhart and The Mary Tyler Moore Show. Man, I watched way too much TV!
i mentioned bewitched and jeanie!!
I think you guys forgot about Small Wonder with Vikki the robot girl!!! That was my fave!
maybe the jetsons and the flintstones can count because its about a dysfuntional family, usually involving a room where theres a tv and a couch facing each other, and a coffee table in between.
@PnL- Yeah, but I wasn’t watching reruns.
Seinfeld. It is the only show that in pretty much any situation that comes up i can say “remember that episode of sienfeld there they were in this same situation”.
I grew up watching Gilligan’s Island re-runs. But I grew up with Saved By the Bell. Now, since every showing of it is a marathon, I watch Fresh Prince.
But seriously, what’s with Roseanne and the Fresh Prince constantly being on at like 7 episodes at a time? I mean don’t get me wrong, I love em both, but what about all the other great sitcom re-runs they can be showing…......
Yes, Small Wonder! Also,
Mr. Belvedere.
Rags to Riches
Wonder Years
Doogie Howser M.D.
Different Strokes, Married With Children, Seinfeld.
Mr. Belvedere!!!!! Hahaha! Yes! I had the biggest crush on Wesley! I wonder where he is now!
Actually, The Wonder Years was probably my favorite. Oh, Winnie Cooper, the crush I had on you.
JP: I saw a girl that looked just like Winnie Cooper at the tattoo shop the other day.
Seinfeld
The show about nothing.
all of the ones you already mentioned…but I also enjoyed
Perfect Strangers
Night Court
Cheers
Golden Girls
Newhart (hi i’m larry, this is my brother darrell and my other brother darrell)
Kate and Allie
Hogan Family
Designing Women
Quantum Leap
Star Trek: The Next Generation
and reruns of the Brady Bunch, The Beverly Hillbillies, MASH, The Andy Griffith Show, Good Times, and The Jefferson’s
Man, I watched a lot of TV when I was little.
Flintstones
Mash
Happy Days
Lavern and Shirley
Almost forgot:
Eight is Enough!
saved by the bell was awful!
Fresh Prince F Belair has to be the best child sitcom ! Will smith is the best !! =0
Let’s not forget Out Of This World with Evie, the half alien girl who could stop time. I also liked What’s Happening, Give Me a Break, and Munsters reruns. Man I watched a lot of TV.
MacGyver, A-team, Moon Lighting, Family Matters, Webster, Punky Bruster, Who’s the Boss, Aman, 227, Different World, Alice. Hogans Heros
It’s interesting how many people mentioned Seinfeld. That’s the one I remember despising. I don’t know why I hated it, I just did. The ones that I remember loving were mostly hour long or cartoons, and seemed to be ones I watched in college:
Star-Trek the Next Generation
Northern Exposure (Not quite as funny in reruns!)
Animaniacs,
A-Team, and Tiny Toon Adventures.
