How do men feel about getting their back or chest waxed? Is this something that you men are comfortable with?

Asked by chyna (51598points) March 2nd, 2013

A friend of mine is considering getting his chest and back waxed but is a little apprehensive about the process. Can anyone here give him some advice if you have had it done, or if you know of any men that have had the procedure?

I’m sure it won’t be pleasant but I think it is a wonderful idea. I have never been fond of the gorilla look! (not a man, just offering a female opinion)

@rooeytoo I want female input too. Thanks!

I have a little chest hair but no back hair. I’d get waxed for the right woman.

@Adirondackwannabe Waxed? How was it? How did it feel? Would you do it again? Regrowth?
Tell all!

Not been waxed yet. If you want I’ll try it for you.

Go for it!

Oh you weasel, I’ll schedule it tomorrow. Or maybe Monday.

Oh wow. How I went for something. And you are going to pay too.

@Adirondackwannabe – have someone video it so we can see when you scream, heheheh!

I have no experience in this topic and have none to deal with.
Tell him that he should not worry. There is no loss in masculinity to do something like that. It is very open that he is thinking of it and sharing that thought with you.
He has nothing to loose but the hair and he may like the gain. Go for it.

I personally can man-scape my own front. I have been considering getting the back done as I can not reach all parts

Another female opinion- chest hair is sexy and masculine. If doing this makes him feel more confident, then go for it! But a guy doesn’t have to be smooth like a porpoise to be attractive to women. Body hair is one thing that makes people unique and individual; we don’t all have to look like barbie and ken dolls.

This guy must be a masochist!

I know a couple of guys who shave their body hair, and one who was considering waxing. I don’t know if he ever did it, though.

My back is like a baby’s bum, soft, smooth & hairless, my chest is more or less the same, hair grows around my abdomen leading down to the “promised land.”
I’m more than happy for this to remain the case & so is the wife…which is nice.
