What is your favourite LP cover?

Maybe you hardly remember those huge black vinyl discs but if you do you will remember the arty covers. Which is your favourite?

I have lots of favorites. The first that come to mind were the Molly Hatchet covers by Frank Frazetta. Take a look.

I can’t decide between The Moody Blues Seventh Sojourn or Days of Future Passed.

After a long browse through my collection I had a difficult decision to make; Nirvana’s Nevermind, Jeff Wayne’s War Of The Worlds, or maybe Queen’s A Night At The Opera?
After lenghty deliberation I decided that it must be this one!

The one I have framed in my living room: The Clash’s London Calling.

According to my avatar, many might think it’s The Germs though.

@boffin: Another vote for Roger Dean and his Yes album covers. Art nouveau meets future sci-fi. I loved his stuff.

I love this one for Portland Cello Project. Very cool and surrealistic.
I just discovered this one for 3 Leg Torso’s CD Animals and Cannibals. I always love those twisted pop versions of Golden Books style images! Funny, they are also from Portland. I haven’t even heard this album yet but I have another of theirs and I like it so I’ll have to check out this new one.
Another good one is Pink Moon
I have always loved this one by Marshall Tucker Band. Man, check out the folks in the video below. F’in !973! Too funny!

Plus another vote for Roger Dean. Especially for Tales from Topographic Oceans
