I am feeding four adults on approximately $350 a month. We spend another $50 or so on non-food grocery items.

Two adults, one tween, one child, two cats. Between $700—$900 per month, including other grocery store items like cleaning supplies and such.

3 Probably $800. It’s hard to say, because my wife often makes meals for my daughter and her family.

@YARNLADY has a point. Sometimes I go buy things at the grocery store and a chunk of the money is spent on laundry detergent, toilet paper and so on. So its really hard to calculate how much goes to actual food.
Guessing, because I probably spend between 150 to 175 a week on actual food for 3 adults. So it would be about 600 to 700 a month. But if you include Toiletries and detergents and soap it will probably reach 900. If you include the fact that two adults buy lunch out 20 days a month. You can add another 400 a month. So for food. Anywhere from 1000 to 1100 a month. Divide between 3 it would average about 350 per person per month.

Family of 5 (2 adults, 1 adolescent, 1 toddler, 1 baby).
We spend about $800 in food (that includes baby formula) and probably another $200 in other products (toiletries, diapers, etc) a month. We might actually spend a little bit more on foo, but I think that’s pretty close.

We live in Australia, expensive!!! For 2 adults $500—$600 per month. I would about $50 of that is non food products. And keep in mind, we eat very little meat and no smoking or alcohol.

Three adults (me, an 18 year old and a 21 year old). I shop twice a month and spend about $250 each time. I might make an in-between trip or two during the month and spend an additional $50–80.

I forgot to add that my monthly shopping bill increased by about $40–50/mo after I got a cat.

So: 2 Adult + 1 growing kitty = $450/mo

Does StarBucks count? I spent $600? there last month for myself and friends. I probably only spent $25 at the grocery store since I have mainly been ordering in or eating out. In the USA you can eat very cheaply if you choose to.
