Why is the US flag at half-staff today? (16 Mar 2013)

I noticed while I was running some errands this morning that the US flag is at half-staff in front of many businesses that normally fly the flag.
I also found that there’s a website you can check to find out “why flags are flying at half-mast in your area”, at http://halfstaff.us/ and at http://halfstaff.org/. But those sites aren’t telling me anything about today.
Are US flags flying in your area today, and are they all the way up, or are they at half staff?

Thanks, @bkcunningham. Your link was obviously better than mine; I hadn’t seen that.
May I just say that it is awesome that someone maintains a site like that. I will be bookmarking it. Thanks, @bkcunningham.
You are both more than welcome. It is sort of amazing.
Do you happen to live in Connecticut by any chance?
@bkcunningham I wonder why California not on that list of flag statuses?
I don’t know, @Megan64. Good question. Also missing are: Alabama, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Indiana, Mississippi, Nebraska, Nevada, Rhode Island, South Dakota, and Tennessee. Did I miss any?
