Should there be an alternate Fluther website/universe?

Would be nice to think a site with the quality of this place was out there should fluther go “tits up.”

I like fluther the way it is. Don’t make it to complicated. I don’t need any more whistles and bells to confuse me. And moderate? No way. It’s a thankless job and I make to many spelling and punctuation errors myself. I don’t have the personality to notice that crap.

I have often wondered about the darkest Fluther timeline. Who lost an arm? Who has blue streaks in their hair? Who has a pointy beard and a villainous plan to destroy the other timelines?

There is. It’s called Quora, and for sheer informativeness it kicks Fluther’s ass. I’m on there, but don’t use it much – it doesn’t have the same addictive quality this place does, and seems to be less social by design. Several former jellies live there now.

Oooh, ooh, comic books do this all the time

We shall reboot Fluther entirely. We’ll call it the Ultimate Flutherverse. All of our continuities will be reset. We’ll be replaced by younger, slightly edgier versions of ourselves. Heroes will become villains, villains will reform. Cats and dogs sleeping together…

I sorta want the fluther fairytale where we’ve got a village of our own. It’ll have geese crossing signs, an orange tree big enough to get everyone underneath and weekly potluck.

I agree with @wildpotato I’m on Quora as well, and it’s a very fine alternative.

At night, mild-mannered @wildpotato becomes Super Spud.
