Are you ready to see this Deepwater Horizon documentary?

I’m not really ready for another ‘The sky is Falling’ documentary put out by Chicken Little.

I’m angry enough already. Just watching the trailer is enough to piss me off more. Of course an oil spill the size of Texas has not just vanished. More corruption, more lies, more short term profit over long term sustainability.

We humans are seriously not going to make it, we are a self destructing species. I’m 30 years old now, and I honestly really do think, that by the time I’m 70, I will be telling my grandchildren how “the radioactive area” came to be, why its not safe to drink water anymore, what a glacier was, and why it is important to kill the infected before they develop a rash.

Wow. Somehwere between @Jaxk‘s nothing to see here, folks, move along… and @poisonedantidote dystopia of 2053, I sure hope the truth lies.

I can’t comment for legal reasons. :/ I can state that hubby worked on the rig at one point.

I tend to agree with @poisonedantidote. The idea of the Petroleum Industry being allowed to run all over our rights because they have a VERY POWERFUL LOBBY with very deep pockets is appalling to me. If BP had been following the REQUIRED SAFETY REGULATIONS, most likely the Deep Water Horizon explosion would never have happened & the fact that they LIED about how much oil was spewing into the GULF just blows my mind. Then BP chose to use COREXIT (a very toxic dispersant) & all of the oil is STILL ALL OVER THE FLOOR OF THE GULF. In addition to that, the Corexit is causing birth defects to the marine life (& possibly to people, too). It seems that too many people choose to believe the BS that the petroleum industry puts out (that fracking is “SAFE” & that they MUST be allowed to drill for oil because alternative energy is just not going to take care of people & industry). We do seem to be a self-destructing species. We are putting Nuclear Power Plants to generate electricity in major fault zones, leaving us vulnerable to a Chernobyl or to a Fukushima nuclear disaster. There is no way to even safely store the spent fuel from these nuclear power plants & the spent fuel stays radioactive for 5,000 to 10,000 years AND it always gets into either the ground or into the water table – no matter what precautions that they try to take! I definitely fear for the future of my grandchildren because we will be leaving to them a planet that the corporations have polluted in an excess of GREED.

Oh shit…. I dropped all my info in a drunken rant…. I may be visited by lawyers, but maybe I will gain some points to get to heaven???? LOL….
