How to take this nose ring out!

I’ve had my nose pierced since mid-December, and for most of that time I’ve had a ring. It’s titanium, which is porous and apparently better for nose jewelry than anything else. But I’m soon going to have a situation where I need to remove it for about half an hour for a photo shoot, and I can’t even figure out how I’d get the damn thing off of me. It won’t rotate—that is, I can’t like turn it so the opening part is outside of my nose so I can reach it. It won’t budge.
Wtf should I do? It doesn’t seem to be infected, it never hurts, and I clean it daily with saltwater. Help?

Go back to where you had the piercing done and ask for their help. The piercing might have closed.
I’m assuming it is healed, since you don’t have any soreness. You can try to lubricate the jewelry and see if it will spin, but don’t force it. If you can’t get it to move, you should go back to the shop and see what they think.
Did you not rotate the jewelry during the healing process? It has been many years since mine was done, but I seem to recall spinning the jewelry when cleaning it, to make sure that the entire ring was cleaned and booger free.
A friend of mine couldn’t get hers out, so she had her brother cut it with a big pair of wire cutters. Of course, that will ruin the ring. I would ask at the place you had it done before you resort to the wire cutters. ;)
@zenvelo, I doubt it’s closed, as the ring is definitely going right through…at least I HOPE it’s not closed. That would be a nightmare, because then it healed over the ring. Is that even a thing? I hope that’s not a thing.
@DigitalBlue, what do I lubricate it with? Vaseline? Water?
Sure, you can try Vaseline if it’s healed. Olive oil would work, too. I don’t know if it will make it move, but my guess is that the skin has just healed tightly around the jewelry.
I’m mostly guessing, this has never happened to me before.
Go back to where you had it done, and ask for instructions for removing it.
Thanks for all the help, guys! I totally ignored my nose ring situation for a week after posting this. When I checked my fluther, I absentmindedly tried to rotate the ring. It turned without any problem at all, and a scab fell out from the inside (gross, sorry). Anyway, thanks! :D
