What can cause chills in a warm house where you put on a coat?

Asked by Aster (20028points) April 13th, 2013

I wonder what is wrong this time. Anyone know why I have had chills on and off today ? No pains, fever or fatigue; just chills on and off. I think my mother used to call it “poor circulation.”

Haunted house?

@rosehips I thought of hypothyroid but getting that diagnosis is very difficult. I am just barely out of range; same with my glucose so am not being treated.

Could either you are starting to get cold or flu and the cold or shivering because of a immune response as shivering actually raises body temparture or you walk through or by a real ghost

Nope; I never get colds or flu. I had the flu in 1988 after a flu shot and not since. Anyway, they’re gone now !

A couple of years ago, my wife began shivering under blankets in a perfectly comfortable room, and was falling asleep for the night around 8:30 pm. Her doctor sent her to an oncologist, where testing revealed an extreme iron deficiency.

Two months of prescription iron tablets fixed everything, and she’s been fine ever since.

What brought all of this on ?.........Who knows…??
