Photoshop Cs5 - change lasso color?

I was wondering if it is possible to change the color of the line the lasso tool leaves behind so that it is easier to see.

Essentially no. But according to this adobe forum

you can change the layers here and there to get a similar effect but then again it’s just another step in the mix.

Anyways, what do you need the color for? Just zoom in accordingly? Or use the magnetic lasso tool? I have CS6 and there is no plug in for what you’re asking as well. Great Q though.
