Has regular ingestion of Benadryl caused you irritability and depression?

I bought a bottle of 50mg Benadryl capsules as opposed to the normal 25mg and when I wake up I feel nervous, irritable and slightly depressed. Has this happened to you? Should I switch back to the 25mg pills? I take one for sleep and they knock me out for over eight hours. Then I had elevated liver enzymes. They were double digits not triple digits.
