Do you scoot on the shopping carts at the grocery store?

They have new shopping carts (trolleys) here. They are lower and faster. I just can’t help myself, when I see a clear aisle ahead of me, I am off. I love it, steering with weight shifts and feet dragging for brakes. Am I the only almost 70 year old woman who does this???

@rooeytoo my daughter aged 17 screams around foodland on them- I don’t know if it’s the tiling on the floors but these trolleys are the same wherever you go. And, she does it in iga where the aisles are narrow and with lots of glass bottles!
Only all the time, anything goes with me, twirling around like a mad bugger, races with fellow shoppers who remain clueless to my games, sometimes I like to play Mad Max & wreck a few displays with handbreak turns in the cooking oil section…Mad Ucme-the aisle warrior.
Sometimes I’ll hop on the front and my husband will push the cart (from behind me) really fast through Wal-Mart like a couple of kids. We get strange looks, but we don’t care. Well, not really.
I do it all the time, and I hope to when I’m in my 70’s too. Thanks for being an inspiration. It’s important to never loose the inner child in us.
I’m not almost 70 but yes, I do this. I’m not sure how I feel about people who don’t do this, or at least think about it. Do they have souls?!
More power to you, @rooeytoo – but no, I stopped doing that when I was about 18. But go for it. Have fun.
Interesting. I’ve never done that, nor have I seen anyone else do it. The aisles are always too narrow or too crowded, so I’ve never been tempted. I’ll keep an eye out, and should the opportunity present itself, I’ll try it.
When I didn’t weigh more than the groceries in the cart, hell yeah. I’d be likely to flip the cart over now, though. :(
hehehe, @augustlan maybe we eat more than you so more stuff in the cart!!!
I am so pleased to know I am not the only one! And @Sunny2 – a good time is when you are traveling across the parking lot on the way to your car. Just watch out for the moving cars!
Lurve to you all, for your silliness and your answers!
Yep, I’m in my mid-30’s and I do it too! It’s fun!
No. You , ma’am , must be in terrific physical and emotional condition! If I did this and my daughter saw it she would just die of embarrassment. Good for you!
Well, it helps to be a little bit crazy that’s for sure! But it is fun and yep, I will keep doing it as long as I can! I think my husband gets a little embarrassed too, but he has learned to just grin and bear it!!!
