Why don't they question themselves and their motives if they can't answer your questions?

Asked by Dutchess_III (47126points) April 23rd, 2013

You know…the conspiracy theorists.

On fb, someone posted this. When I asked her “Who tolerates what?”...no answer.

Another person posted this. When I asked to OP to clarify what they were trying to imply with the post…that the government knew about it in advance, or that they got the wrong guy, or they were being mean to shoot the suspects?....no answer.

It’s stupid. It’s nothing but vague insinuations and people just eat it up.

Concerning fb, I think many people feel it’s a safe place for them, free of arguments. They don’t want to debate. That doesn’t mean they don’t debate irl or question themselves. I don’t visit fb for a debate, so I don’t post much of anything that would need to be argued or debated. I just like to look at the photographs of my friends and family and post my own. (nothing like what you posted. just pics of kids and such)

People who like to debate need to remember that not everyone enjoys debating, especially on fb.

@jonsblond So why would they post things that are sure to provoke others?

They are preaching to the choir. They read something they like and they want to share it with others that agree with them,

OK. Then how do they miss the fact that their posts get 0 likes?

My acquaintance, the one who posts articles about chemtrails actually says on her posts that she understands that a lot of people might think that she’s a conspiracy theorist, but that she knows this stuff to be true and it would be unconscionable for her not to let the rest of us know “the facts”. She gets extremely agitated if you try to show her proof that suggests otherwise. I don’t think they care if they get no likes. I used to skim, no I just hide those posts.

@Dutchess_III Maybe they don’t care if someone “likes” their post because that’s not what is important to them? I have no idea. I don’t “like” everything I agree with. Some people “like” everything and some people don’t “like” anything. We all have our own unique way of using fb and you’ll drive yourself nuts trying to figure out why a person uses fb the way they do.

The problem is you’re asking an answer from a byproduct. They get their information from someone much wiser, but they do a very poor job at relaying the message to others. It’s like a broken telephone. If you want a satisfactory explanation, you will have to ask from the main source. In this case, one of the main sources would be Alex Jones. He provides all the resources and then his followers attempt to pass it down in their own way. I would contact him directly, if you genuinely want enlightenment. His site infowars
