Why doesn't America just send Tsarnaev's body to Russia and avoid all the problems regarding the burial?

Wouldn’t it be a win-win result? Who would argue with that?

He is not from Russia. He is from Chechnya. They don’t want him. In fact he sought asylum here.
Who will pay for it? America?
They are afraid he will be given a Martyr’s funeral and be treated as a hero if the body is sent back to Chechnya.
@chyna I heard that people were starting a fund (in America) to have his body transported to Russia.
@WestRiverrat Nailed it. The Russians don’t want a Chechnyan martyr at all.
Just today I heard the Russians had refused his being sent there.
How about burying him with Bin Laden by tying a cinderblock to his ankle and dumping him overboard in the middle of an ocean?
Grind him up and feed him to the pigs.
Throw him into the tar pits of a forgotten island I say! Who stands with me?
I don’t understand why it matters. Wouldn’t his body be given to his family? If they don’t want it, donate it to science or whatever.
Why does america not just bury the body and move on?
The terrorists have won. They have whipped you up into such a frenzy that you are now flipping out over a goddamned corpse.
Russia doesn’t want him either.
My advice: there’s a great big ocean just east of Boston.
A corpse is a corpse, of course, of course,
And no one can bury a corpse of course,
That is of course unless the corpse
Is the Famous Mr. Ed

@elbanditoroso keep your day job, you’re not going to make in the music industry.
@ragingloli I agree with you but you do realize that not every American is in lockstep with every other American, don’t you?
I’m so fed up with this foolishness.
First, Mr. Tsarnaev hasn’t been convicted of any crime, nor can he be charged or put on trial. He’ll forever be the “alleged bomber.” This is true regardless of all the photographs and video footage.
Second, convicted criminals—even the most heinous people who serve life sentences—are buried.
Third, imagine how painful this must be for Mr. Tsarnaev’s daughter, and other family members, who had nothing to do with the bombings and are innocent of any wrongdoings.
Fourth, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is paying tens of thousands of dollars per day to secure the funeral home where Mr. Tsarnaev’s body is being kept.
Health care professionals triage patients; they provide treatment according to need, not by subjective choices about who is and isn’t “worthy.” That’s the only way to practice medical care. The same should be true of burials.
So, the government should bury it? I see no o fuss no muss there.
@flo Part of the issue is where. Apparently the local graveyards are refusing to have him. I feel really sorry for the funeral home people.
@janbb Yes, but I’m thinking this looks like an exceptional case, in that noone would/could complain that it is not an actual graveyard, right? . There is no cremation is Islam it looks like.
…-And of course they would have to keep the location top secret.
Why don’t they just cremate his body and give the ashes back to the family? Then it would all be solved, no?
If the US government is going to get stuck with the bill to bury him, they should do it at Gitmo.
@Adirondackwannabe Does it really matter at this point, I don’t know, I just think something is better than nothing, even if his own country won’t take him at least his family can have him.
But I have heard there has been a plot or two that have been offered as Tsarnaeva’s possible final resting place.
According to cnn.com, he’s now been buried somewhere outside of Worcester due to the charity of a person or persons coming forward and offering a plot.
