When you partake in a bit of wine, what do you normally go for?

Asked by Mama_Cakes (11173points) May 8th, 2013

What do you enjoy most?

I usually go with Malbec. Usually this stuff. Not quite two buck chuck, but nothing fancy either.

It depends upon the food and the setting but I tend to favor whites .

I like Nobilo Sauvignon Blanc. It tastes like summer.
I like Barefoot Moscato because it is sweet and locally made.
and finally, when nobody is looking, I drink Manischewitz Cream White Concord because it is so sweet and delicious. (embarrassingly so)
All are well below $10. The last two are below $5.

I’m fond of Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon. I don’t have any particular favourite brands, because I try to get something different every time I buy a bottle.

One bottle I like to bring to parties is Cheap Red Wine and Cheap White Wine. It’s easy to drink and tasty, even for people who aren’t big wine enthusiasts, and it’s fairly inexpensive. And of course, the label makes it a fun conversation piece.

I like a dry red like cabernet sauvignon.

I’m with @Seek_Kolinahr and @marinelife, I’m into the dry red’s, merlots, pinot’s, chianti, etc..
Our local wine center has a bargain bin area with all the really nice wines marked down to like $6 from $30, so yeah, I’m really tight-fisted and hit that area.

My husband is really into the Moscato’s right now, a little too sweet for me, though.
No one likes my dry’s so I generally end up drinking what I bring, which is fine.

Zinfandel and prosecco. I miss them every day.

Almost anything but wine coolers and spritzers.

Zinfandel, Riesling and very occasionally, Port.
More of a beer fan.

Red, and preferably something Spanish or Italian. Failing that, a merlot.

Merlot and Pinot Noir usually. Sometimes a white but I prefer red.
