How do I deal with my selfish brother?

My younger brother is so selfish. He never shares anything and I hate how he has to have everything I do. I am positive it’s not that he wants to be like me because I am a girl and he is just not like that. I have no idea how to deal with him anymore. Is it because he is young and still hasn’t matured? Is it just his personality?

Does his lack of sharing have a true impact on you or are you able to do without his possessions?
Welcome to Fluther. (I might also add “Welcome to family life.)
Younger siblings can be that way. The thing that you have to learn is how to be smarter than he is. If you haven’t yet read Tom Sawyer, read it now. Be sure to pay attention to the part about Tom having to whitewash a fence. You’re smart; you’ll get the message.

It really would help us to know how old each of you are. Depending on your ages, this could be completely normal sibling behavior, and something one sort of just has to deal with until everyone matures a bit.
younger brothers are all the same
State your views clearly and then ignore!!!!!
