Do you believe this about the Boston bomber?

Asked by Aster (20028points) May 16th, 2013

The news says when he was dying in the boat in the man’s backyard that he had a writing instrument and a piece of paper and actually wrote down his motives for the Boston bombings. Do you believe this?

It was on the inside of the boat on a surface of the boat.
Yes it was a re-affirmation of his cause, jihad. He thought he was about to join his dead brother.

Yes, I believe it. Why do you suspect otherwise?

Is there something about this report that you consider unbelievable?

Sure, He had 10–12 hours to do so. The way I see it, he was doing this for publicity and for his cause. If he had said nothing (and died silently) then on one level, he would have failed.

But I guarantee you that the conspiracy nuts will come up with some theory that the words they found were written by the FBI as justification for their actions…

@elbanditoroso As a conspiracy nut I think it is always worth remembering that just because you are paranoid doesn’t mean someone is not out to get you.

Or @rojo as one of my friends that is retired from Federal Service ( white Panama Hat in Vietnam in the 1950’s ), if you feel paranoid, you don’t have to be crazy.

elbanditoroso's avatar

@tojo, just it doesn’t mean that they are, either

@elbanditoroso err on the side of caution.

I heard it was the navy seals who set off the bombs initially and then they went to the boat and wrote stuff on the side so that 313 million dumb Americans would not suspect them!

Some news stories are actually true. I believe this one.

The story is definitely true.
The America media usually does not tell all the facts about potential terrorist. They view it as Politically in correct.
