@Hawaii_Jake Mahalo Nui Loa. I hope you finally got to go on that romantic date
@cookieman Wow! That felt nice, now you got me thinking about a recipe for Bear Claws! I love those!
@Bellatrix It was kind of a lucky accident that I ended up on Fluther in the first place, I was on a cooking site and they asked some of us if we’d like to answer some food related questions, then I was directed to Fluther and I’ve been here ever since. I’m glad I have a special niche that people seem to like. You guys are always welcome to hang out in my niche. God, that didn’t come out right!!! But you know what I mean : )
@chyna You, dearest, are one of my behind the scenes go to girls for when I think I’m seeing or reading something fishy and I desperately need a second opinion. Thanks for all of your advice and hand holding.
@whitenoise Thank you! I actually had to look up gefeliciteered to figure out that it means congratulations, although when I first saw it, I thought it had something to do with gefilte fish, ha ha : ) That would be rather unusual to be congratulated with a gefilte fish.
@ucme Cool, I get to be a Spicegirl. Woot! I love your British-isms and that you are willing to explain some British things to me, like where certain accents are from and what certain types of British foods are like, such as spotted dick.
@syz Thank you! And thank you for introducing me and the rest of the gang to the word entomophile. Love me some ladybugs, and praying mantis bugs are really cool looking. Did you ever end up making the fried green tomatoes? I’m craving those right now! I convinced my friend to plant a tomatillo plant when I was helping her to pick out her spring tomato plants. Can’t wait to taste them.
@9doomedtodie Thank you : ) Did you know that I actually don’t have any kids? Ha Ha. I found out that a few other Jellies also thought I was a Mom because of my avatar name, but it’s really just a take on the spice cardamom which is found mostly in Indian and Scandanavian food. Although in some ways I do often feel like a Mom on Fluther, especially with the high school and college relationship questions. I so want to save people from some of the stupid/painful mistakes that I made when I was younger.
@thorninmud Ahhh shucks : ) I went to a specialty food store not long ago that a bunch of different salts that you could sample. I really had no idea how different they all were. I liked the pink salt. They all just looked so nifty sitting in the jars, almost too pretty to use. Thanks for being the voice of reason and logic on Fluther (almost Spock-like, sorry I’m a little obsessed what with just having seen Star Trek Into Darkness).
@rooeytoo I would say that I’m a much better finder/collector of recipes than I am at actual cooking. You’d be surprised. My philosophy when it comes to cooking is simplicity. I run screaming away from recipes that give even the slightest hint of adding the paddle attachment to an upright mixer (which I don’t own) or putting something under the broiler. Yikes! That is why I still have yet to even attempt a Mole Recipe
@SuperMouse You, my dear friend, have been so helpful and kind to me and all the other Jellies. Some of the Q’s we’ve been on together, were almost like Star Trek away team missions. Together we’ve seen the good, the bad, the ugly and the awesome! I had so much fun helping you pick out your Mother of the Groom outfit.
@LuckyGuy You, sir, are one of my go-to fellows when I need some tricky and thoughtful advice to give to one of the young uns. I think people on Fluther respect your advice (I sure know I do) and sometimes it’s nice to get a male persepective. I thank you so much for all that you have done for me : ) If I was the President, you would be one of my trusted advisors.
@zenvelo Hee Hee you said recipe for success I love that! Now let’s bust out the non-alcoholic wine and get to cooking!
@Adirondackwannabe Oh God, I’m having one of those Wizard of Oz moments. If you ever left Fluther, I know I’d miss you most of all. I wouldn’t be able to do what I do here, on Fluther, without your help.
@filmfann To Sir with Lurve, The Movie! What a great idea!
@janbb That was so sweet of you to say mazel tov because you know that instantly makes me think of Fran Dreshcer : ) Some day, I would like the book in the penguin’s hand to be titled: Kardamom’s Favorite Fluther Recipes that even a Penguin would Love : )
@picante Every time I see your name, I think of picante sauce and spicy Mexican food and my mouth starts to water. I may have to come up with an original recipe just for you. Thank you for supporting my culinary interests : )
@Mariah at your young age, you have given me wisdom (and hope for the future) that is way beyond my years. I can’t wait to see how you will be when you are my age! You have been through more in your short years than most of us will ever realize in a lifetime and you just shrug it off as every day life. That is what I love about you, your confidence and your resilience. Can’t wait to see the robots that you ultimately end up making. Can you make me a Zachary Quinto robot? Please ; – P
@bkcunningham Thank you! Lunch can and will be served at any time of the day or night, just like on the Fluther cruise ship!
@glacial Thank you! And thanks for helping me to channel Julia Child
@Tropical_Willie It’s so much better to be spicy than bitter or sour : ) Here’s a little bit of Tropical Spice just for you Willie : )
@Cupcake Thank you so much. I know that some people probably think I tend to be a little long winded, they’re right, but sometimes I’m just trying to present as many facts as I can, along with my own experiences when I think they can be of some use. Even though what I say may not be what the OP wants to hear, I feel that I need to say some things, and get some ideas in there, so that maybe I can help someone else who might be having a similar problem. I just hope that I haven’t bored you all to tears.
@marinelife Thank you so much! That means a lot coming from you. You are like one of the elder statespersons of Fluther : )
@Mama_Cakes Thank you sweet girl! You have the most beautiful speaking voice on Fluther and you ask such great questions, things that I am always interested in, from interior design, to Paul McCartney concerts (I hope you are going to get to see him) to questions about dogs, and neighbors checking out your lady parts. Does that dude still live there?
@Judi One of these days we will all have to get together and have a healthy recipe feast/exchange. We actually did this for one of my family potlucks and it turned out really great! One of my cousins made this Cilantro Lime Quinoa Salad that knocked my socks off!
@Leanne1986 My dear, you are one of the only Jellies who can truly appreciate my obsession relationship with Fran Drescher, partly due to the fact that Fran has that same kind of relationship towards Barbara Streisand : ) Aren’t girl crushes fun?
@Seaofclouds Thank you! And thank you for being one of our Mods and for helping to keep Fluther a fun and safe place. I would love to see all of you Mods dressed up like This
@Sunny2 Gracious, nothing to be jealous about. I just want to spread the joy of cooking and eating across the Fluthersphere!
@bookish1 My dear friend, what can I say? This is the most awesome feast of all time, I think I just came a little in my mouth (food-gasm?) And by the way, thanks for sending the professor up to my room. I just sat there on the bed while he yelled, “Silence!” Then I proceeded to bite off each and every one of the buttons on his cape, then… and then… and then This Guy walked in and that’s when I passed out. Hopefully by the time you are done with your schooling, you will have a full beard like This Guy Thanks for all of your ongoing support and for having so much in common with me. Who the heck else would know about green coconut chutney???
@WillWorkForChocolate I do like to think of myself as part of the Fluther pantry! Thank you for always making me think about chocolate and for making so many hilarious comments. I guess I may eventually have to bust out that Mole recipe, becuase as you know, it contains chocolate.
@Plucky Thank you! And thank you for just having that sweet little white dog as your avatar. I think I actually enjoy rubbing dog tummies even more than I love cooking. Consider your tummy rubbed : )
@tinyfaery Thank you! Now what can I fix you for dinner? How about a Little Snack?
@Aster Thank you! And what a lovely Blue Ribbon it is. Who made the cake? I hope it’s lemon!
@Lightlyseared Thank you! You know your avatar name always makes me think of These and that makes me both happy and hungry : )
@Symbeline Girlfriend! We have had some of the most intense/unusual/fantastic conversations about every topic under the sun (and some, like zombies, that are not even under the sun). I think it was you that conjered up the image of the Kardashians when you first read my avatar name. I laughed so hard when I read that, because I’m more of a Jody Foster/Meg Ryan looking gal, and my arse is as flat as a pancake. Did you ever find any actual cardamom? The scent alone practically makes my eyes roll up into my head, and the flavor, well let’s just say that if a flavor tasted like Alan Rickman, mixed with Johnny Lee Miller and Zachary Quinto, it would be kind like that. The first time I ever tasted it was in This Dish and I nearly had to excuse myself from the table.
@flutherother Thank you! Hee Hee, I love that you used a K.
@rosehips Thank you for giving me the night off. Now I can just sit back and let you all peel some grapes for me.
@Buttonstc There is a reason for why it took so long for me to reach 20K even though I’m on Fluther almost every day. I bet Auggie can tell you why. But I love being on Fluther and answering questions.
@Coloma My dear, kindred spirit. Whenever I go for a walk in the woods or see some geese honking at our local park (or take a dip in the hot tub) I think of you. I really related to you when it came to the fact that you had to end a couple of toxic relationships that you had with some friends. I had to do that too, and it was painful, yet at the same time, freeing. You are such a wonderful earth-mother and I try to be more like you. Keep being you, so I can keep trying to be like you : )
@YARNLADY You were one of my first friends on Fluther. I love your no nonsense, down to earth advice, and I love hearing about your family and your experiences. Of course, we all have you to thank for the awesome-ness that was Yarnpocalypse.
@newtscamander Thank you! I try to be thoughtful, and occasionally I try to throw in a little bit of levity. May I ask you a question? The beginning part of your name seems awfully familiar. Do I have the pleasure of being in the company of a Jelly that has transormed into a new Jelly?
@mangeons You know your Mom makes great kids! And of course you know exactly why I love your avatar name!!! I love reading your thoughtful responses, especially because they are coming from the mature voice of youth. Wish I could have been as confident and smart as you are when I was your age.
@augustlan What can I say to you? You have been so supportive and helpful to me, since the moment I arrived on Fluther. You have complimented me (behind the scenes in a way that made my heart swell) and I shall always be your eager and faithful servant. P.S. Thanks for sending those Brits to my room. I almost wet myself when they both agreed to say straaaaaawbries whilst they were feeding them to me.
@Pachyderm_In_The_Room Thanks Mr. Elephan Man! The view is pretty nice just about now, considering that there’s a bunch of British hotties turning down the covers for me and offering me Earl Grey tea ; – P
@AmWiser Thank you! This party is beginning to feel like Fluther Roll Call May 2013!
@Eggie Thank you! You know that I could just eat you up, right? Especially like This
@Bluefreedom Thank you! It’s been a long time since I’ve seen you around these waters!
@linguaphile Girl, you know you’re another one of my peeps. We have had some interesting conversations behind the scenes, trying to make sense out of what people are saying and doing. I’m so glad that you don’t mind me asking you what the hell heck you think some people are thinking. You always have a very good take on things. Thanks for being there for me : )
@ETpro OMG! That should be the name of the Fluther cookbook that I hope to write, 20,000 Culinary delights! You could write a book by the same title, only it would be the NSFW version, heh heh. Thanks for being a billion times smarter than me : )
@FutureMemory Thank you! There’s probably some little kid named Karda running around asking, “Who is that crazy foodie chick on Fluther who keeps saying she’s my Mom? She’s not my Mom! My Mom can’t even cook!”
@jca You are another one of my home girls, always there for me when I need to ask, “What the eff is that Jellyfish saying?” Plus I appreciate that you love the same Toys that I do.
@pleiades I loved that clip! When I was in elementary school, I used to watch the original Little Rascals after school. Spanky and Alfalfa were so cute when they were little, and Stymey and Buckwheat and Darla!
@zenzen Of course whenever I see your avatar picture, I can’t help but think about you know who. Especially this last week, since I just saw the new Star Trek movie Into Darkness. Give it a chance, this young fellow playing Spock is marvelous! I spent the better part of today looking up pictures of both Zachary Quinto and Leonard Nimoy, including This One which after viewing, I had to go and fan myself. Who knew what was lurking under that Starfleet uniform?
@bluiiznh Thank you to one of my favorite Jellies, you too, were one of the first Jellies that I became friends with when I first came to Fluther and I appreciate your male perspective, no bullshit, sweet and kind answers. Keep ‘em coming.
And of course, I want to thank @ZEPHYRA again for gathering all of you wonderful Jellies together to celebrate with me and to help me move all of my luggage and cooking equipment and spices upstairs : )
And since this is a party, make sure to put on your Party Hats
