Has this been tried to motivate students in school and would it work ( details inside )?
When students play a video game the characters statistic’s come from your grades… high grades, hi stats. low grades, low stats and discount on items depending on your attendance.

I don’t know of it being tried, but that’s not to say it hasn’t. I do know it’s a great question and a great idea. I strongly suspect that if tried properly, it would work like gangbusters.
Good idea but so far the get the education and you get a car still works for those parents that bribe there kids with.
Kind of a Grand Theft GPA.
That’s a pretty cool idea, for the kids with enough desire to keep playing the game.
Not sure. I can argue both ways.
For – All the reasons above. the student would be encouraged to compete
Against- The already studious and high achievers would be distracted from their studies.
The less motivated students would not even bother to play the game knowing the deck was stacked against them.
Positive or not the net result would be more student hours tied up playing a video game rather than playing outside or studying, or reading, or doing homework.
