What is the point of the whisper text feature?

I don’t get it. Not that I usually get everything anyway. But I don’t get it.

First, it’s hard to read. Second, what is being transmitted in a whisper that is different than a normal response. Finally, isn’t it rude to whisper?

I’m sure it’s something I missed in texting school. But what is the point?
