Gt p1000 galaxy tab- usb tethering problem after upgrade to android 4.2.2?

Can you PLEASE help me, I have recently upgraded my GT P1000 GALAXY TAP TO JELLY BEAN 4.2.2. Now the problem is my USB tethering is Disabled i think because when I plug in my USB cable the phone simple makes beep sound indicating that it has detected connection but the connection options on the phone remain the same being written ***USB not connected***

I would take it into your providers local store. I had a similar problem. Every time I connected my Galaxy Nexus into the computer it would “register” by making that beep sound but then it would say that the device was not recognized. I ended up being told my USB port was faulty and I bought an external battery charger for $2 on ebay as well as an extra battery fro $10. This was a much cheaper fix than sending my phone in since I had a crack in it there was no longer a warranty. Now I always have one battery charged and just simply switch them. Your problem could be a lot simpler however so I would first suggest just asking at your local service provider.
