Which kid? Did you mean to link a video or something?
???
!!!
“Baaaaaaaaaa”
A kid goat?
He seems kinda quiet to me.
‘Put your hearing aids in.”
“Nevermind, forget it mom, you’re so lame.”—any kid
The good news is the child speaks Mandarin. The bad news is they think they are reporting to their spymasters.
She’s trying to have a very serious conversation with her father about breastmilk, the cute kid next door, poop, and the joys of footed pajamas.
Why am I the only one that understood that?
It is adorable gibberish. He or she is not old enough to be saying much more than Mama or Dada. (My first word was “horsey.”)
By about 18 months there will be several actual words strung together that make sense.
At three months, a child:
Makes cooing and gurgling sounds
At six months, a child:
Babbles and makes sing-song sounds
At twelve months, a child:
Babbles, but with inflection, which sounds like talking
Says first word
At eighteen months, a child:
Says 8–10 words others can understand
Has vocabulary of about 5 to 40 words, mostly nouns
Repeats words heard in conversation
Uses “hi,” “bye,” and “please” when reminded
At two years, a child:
Has a vocabulary of 150 to 300 words
Uses 2–3 word sentences, usually in noun-verb combinations, such as “Dog bark,” but also using inflection with combinations like “More cookie?”
Source
Ha! According to that source, then, my kids were both geniuses! My youngest said “mama” at only four-five months, and they were both speaking in short sentences at twelve months.
The suggestions listed above are typical.
In part two of the source I linked, there is a description of typical advanced verbal skills in some children.
Whatever the little treasure was saying he was just as cute as a button! What a gorgeous little child!
This video made my day. :-) I think the kid is summing up the meaning of life.
I can’t stop laughing, it is so funny to me. And adorable of course.
