Do you remember past Fluther people?

Sure. I think most of us who have been around for a while remember some past Jellies fondly. Some for their wit, some for their intelligence, some for their grouchiness…

I can only recall 2, no actually make that 3.
One was fun & I do kinda miss them a little, another was an annoying little tw@ but fun at the same time & the third was just a total prick, memorable only for their outstanding achievement in head up the arsery.

I remember them for the quality of their answers. For their kindnesses.

I remember a lot, good and bad. I try to notice when people I appreciate disappear and always hope they’ll return. Some of them have, a lot haven’t :(

I think that blissful practitioner of Evelynism was the first I was sad to see had left.

Yes; two nice retired guys and one much younger brash gentleman. One man had his second hip replacement and I never heard a word after that.

I remember a lot of them. I wonder what some of them are doing right now. Specifically Janets.

Oh man, yeah. I think of Fluther as a virtual museum, full of living pieces of art. I can come here and marvel at the varied and astonishing beings that can spring out of a couple of dumb gametes. So very many have left an impression, but, like any good museum, the exhibits need to change every now and then.

There are many former jellies I remember fondly. There are a couple who left for health or personal reasons and I wonder how they are almost every time I check in. I’m looking at you Gary and Chris! You are Fluther lurved and missed.

Yes, I remember dozens of them, especially when I look at an old question with a lot of answers.

I remember quite a few of them who were, and in some cases still are, great friends.

Vunesuh, Fiddle Playing Creole Bastard, Wundayatta, Phillis, KateTheGreat. I miss them, they were awesome.
Also, RatBoy. :D

I mostly remember the chicks that sent me nudie pics of themselves. Many of them are now gone or are rare spawns/use a different name.

I remember one woman who loved spatulas as much as I like strainers.

A couple of kind, wise, young women, who were scared off of Fluther by some nasty male members of Fluther (they were sent naughty PM’s by these dudes, and they have since been banned).

A fellow who could out-talk me about 10 fold and liked to sit under an orange tree.

A mother and daughter team (one was a Mod).

A Fiddle Playin’ Mod.

A sweet woman in England who had an Alan Rickman avatar and loved doggies.

A boat lady.

A bunch of trolls folks who liked to stay close at hand and had trouble figuring out what people meant when they said certain things, especially when it related to stamy evenings, and younger women who had men standing too close to them while their wives were in the room, like Bonnie and Clyde, or impregnating their girlfriends while they were married, especially those who lived in London.

Tons and tons of them, for a variety of reasons. I’m glad to have Facebook connections with many of them.

@Kardamom Hmm! Some of those I could figure out (and some I wish more people had figured out), but others leave me wishing I had been here when. :)

Yes, a handful or so. I particularly miss a few of them.

I can remember at least 20 I remember fondly and one or two I’m glad took a hike. Luckily I’ve been able to keep in touch with most of those I really liked.

@fundevogel That blissful practitioner of Evelynism bought some Girl Scout cookies from my daughter not too long ago. He also sent her some oil pastels. He’s doing well. :)

I remember a few, the ones that made the most impact on me and whose answers I always looked forward to reading because they were intelligent, sometimes a little crazy or sometimes just very nice and sensible.

A few that really stood out to me. I miss them :(

I remember a handful for being flaming assholes, and I’m glad ecstatic they’re gone. I can also remember a handful for being wonderfully delightful people, and I miss them dearly.

Absolutely! There are several jellies who I miss very much. A couple of them I see on facebook, but the majority I don’t know what happened to them. They had brilliant answers, all of them were very interesting. Their life experience, their knowledge. I would love for one or more of them to come back.

I miss everyone from the campfire chat.

I keep in contact with everyone outside of Fluther that has left with the exception of delirium, Riser, and lefteh.

All were regulars in chat. Del sent me a b-day present, I have talked to Riser on the phone, and lefteh was busy with school and hugging Obama.

The other old school campfire people I know their email and we have other ways to keep in contact.

Yes, over the years there were people that were cool with me and vice versa. Not all of those former users who seemed to argue with many on here were bad people, nor necessarily wrong in my opinion.

I am bad at figuring out who is whom between Fluther user names and Facebook for several people, I only know that I know them from here because of the friends we have in common.

I also know that during the couple of years that I didn’t check in much a lot of people left and some are here under different names… I don’t process or remember these things very well – and this is an issue for me on other sites, too – so I just go with the flow.

I haven’t been here that long, but I remember a few whom I considered a good time and miss. There’s also been a few Q’s I’ve read that makes me feel like a few really cool jellies have left, and I’m sorry I missed them and their brains.

I keep hoping the Private Facilities will return. The account’s still open, though I don’t know if that is reason to hope or not.

I’m trying to remember the first person who I “spoke” with on here, it was the usual welcoming stuff & much appreciated too considering I was part of the tsunami of flotsam that beached here from the answerbag wreckage…it hit a mahoosive iceberg ya know.
I think it may have been @Dog, who was a mod so it kinda fits.

If you miss someone who hasn’t been heard from in a while, but who is still on the roster, why not PM them and express yourself. They’ll get the message that they have a message and perhaps they’ll answer.

Oh I remember @austinlad. Always made me think of Jim Reeves. I’m sure his picture wasn’t Jim Reeves, but there you go. He was a very nice man.

@Sunny2 I wish that always worked, but I think we can turn off email notifications for pm’s (I could be wrong). I don’t even use the email that I used to open this account. I’m sure I’m not the only person who doesn’t check their email. I just send a public pm and hope they take a glance at their profile some day and see they are missed.

@ucme I used to be on Answerbag as well until the big change. It ruined it beyond words. Fluther is soooo much better. I too still have an account with them, I don’t know why. I probably log in once a year to have look, but no sooner have I logged in, I’ve logged out!

I miss a few over the years. And a few I am rather relieved they are gone.

There was this one kid from the 90’s that was kind of annoying that I remember for that reason.
There are a couple that introduced me to some muscians I had never tried listening to before and will be grateful for that.
I know we can’t mention names, but one jelly that I miss had the best name ever with his private facilities included.
