What are some great shore excursions in the Bahamas?

I’m going on a cruise to the Bahamas next weekend and I don’t want to miss out on anything I should do to have a good time once I get there. Any suggestions?

Helmet diving is awesome! You don’t need experience. You wear this crazy helmet thing that is completely open at the bottom, but no water gets in, and you get to walk around on the bottom of the ocean!

For shopping, don’t miss the Inernational Bazaar in Freeport. Feeling adventurous? They have a skydiving program, Skydive Bahamas, on Grand Bahama in which you get 20 minutes of instruction and then do a tandem jump attached to your instructor. From Nassau, you can take a boat ride to a lagoon to swim with the rays.

Also, a big part of the experience is just being on the beach. Leave some time for that.
