Does the Facebook Ticker show EVERYTHING I "like?"?

As far as I know, everything goes on the ticker. There doesn’t seem to be any way to limit what gets posted there. At least it’s a fleeting thing. Only your most dedicated stalkers will see all your likes. ;)

It’s a PITA, isn’t it? I had a relative complain that my feed was too political for her tastes. I didn’t know what she was talking about because I mostly just post pics and post about my daughter. Turns out she didn’t like the news stories and memes I “liked”

I looked, once, online, for Yoga pants at Target. It is now on my Facebook Ticker. I don’t think i have ever set foot in a real store.

I stopped liking other Facebook pages for that very reason. I assume that everyone could see what I was liking, even if I wasn’t posting something for everyone to see. I limit my postings, every single one of them, because everyone isn’t interested, and doesn’t need to know about everything that I post. I’ve never posted anything that was public, it just doesn’t make sense to do that, any more than it would to put a sign on the outside of your house, letting everyone know what you are doing inside. Unfortunately, I don’t think that little gear icon will help you, if you are liking another Facebook page.

I liked a Cake Appreciation page or two one day when I was hungry and found these beautiful cake design sites. Does everyone see those? I had no idea!
