Finally saw Singin' in the Rain for the very first time last week. What a fantastic movie. Do you like it?

Love that movie. “Moses Supposes” always brings a laugh. :)
Yes! Saw it at the Paramount Theater in Oakland a few years back. Great seeing in a theater.
@zenvelo I saw it in a theater as well, and it was a new print too. Great experience.
I love it but have seen it so many times I’m a bit burned out. However, I NEVER fail to love the dancing and singing. Donald O’Conner, whom I met many years ago, was brilliant (“Make ‘em laugh”) and of course Gene Kelly was, as always, impeccable and beyond charming (though I thought he was a bit too old for Debbie Reynolds. This was Debbie first’s dancing role and she more than held her own with giants Kelly and O’Conner. But then, could she possibly have had two better teachers?
I always adore the moment when Jean Hagen first speaks. Always cracks me up.
Favorite song? “Singin’ in the Rain,” of course. That scene is CLASSIC.
I loved it. Loved all the songs.
It’s actually in my Netflix queue right now, part of my ongoing remedial program—catching up with oldies that are embedded in our culture.
I’m so jealous of people who get to see classic films for the first time. :)
I am not crazy about it. I prefer An American In Paris.
Singing in the Rain as a movie and as a stage performance is just great. Now, if you haven’t already seen it, check out An American in Paris. It’s more sophisticated than Singing in the Rain and very appealing.
I like it. Of course my favorite song is “Singin’ in the Rain” though I have to say I prefer the stage productions.
I love it. It makes me wish I could sing and dance.
I have placed “learn to tap dance and perform in front of an audience” on my bucket list!
It’s a lovely film, isn’t it? It’s been ages since last seeing it, but another song song that sticks out is You Were Meant For Me.
Mom took dance lessons from Gene Kelly when she was a young girl. We’ll have to watch this movie again when we’re together.
