Why are you spending your precious time answering this question for me?

Probably for the same reason why you’re asking it, it’s a Q&A site after all…sung to the tune of small world purely to annoy.

Because it is my time and I choose how to spend it.

Why I like answering questions. Because it can be helpful fun interactive challenging. I have to support my answers and am sometimes take things for granted that I have not asked myself. Because it gives me something to think about, because I learn.

Because I can’t sleep.

Because I’m half asleep.

Because I have nothing better to do while I’m prying my eyes open.

I’m waiting for my coffee maker to finish and this was a pretty good waste of 14 seconds.

I’m not.

It amuses me.

I am answering this question so it looks like I am busy. I am at the Doctors office, and this creepy guy has been trying to talk to me. “What happened? What’s that for? How’d you get the scar?” Then of all things asked me if I was married. Well I know it could be crazier. Anyways, have a great night/day.

My passion for lifelong learning. The only way to truly understand a subject is the capability to explain it to other people. When I was a high school student, I volunteered as a tutor for fellow students having trouble with math and physics. I often got the feeling that not only did they profit from it, but I did so myself. Significantly. I got a much deeper understanding of the more difficult stuff, because I was forced to explain it in different ways.

Second reason: I love English.

Third reason: Being part of a (global) community.
