What is this item of clothing and where can I get it?

Asked by Unbroken (10751points) June 18th, 2013

I was at a thai restaurant and the girl serving us was wearing these awesome silky capris that were loose and flowy and light like a skirt but were banded at the calves where they ended.

I am not sure it is Thai clothing but it is definitely foreign. I tried searching by description but couldn’t find anything that seemed to match.

They are awesome looking and it is unbearably hot this summer. Does any one have any clues?

A good excuse to go back and ask her.

Do you mean like these pants only longer?
I think they are called Jeannie pants or harem pants.

@Pandora Oh my, those pants are 325.00! They should be sewn with gold thread for that price.

You said silk.
Real silk isn’t cheap. LOL
Maybe this is better

You mean these?

Unbroken's avatar

@RealEyesRealizeRealLies I am ashamed to admit I did. She pretended not to hear me.

@Pandora OMG gasp.. @chyna is right. I would never pay so much for an item clothing unless it was really awesome cold weather gear. Any way it’s not it. They were solid color and more flouncy or swirly at the bottom. This other stuff seems too flashy to me.

I would love the texture but no real silk for me I am afraid… @Pandora the price is better but those kinda look like clown pants.

@Katniss Nope nice try though. We seem to be covering ground I already covered.

@YARNLADY I am becoming less sure of myself but I think that is too much material and I think they were split like pants. I might get a pair of simple ones just to see if I like them.

@dxs Lol

Thanks all for the help.

Last try. Is it Belly Dancer Pants
you are looking for? Go to this page and select pants on the right. When they show up, look at the second row and go all the way to the right. I’m imagining the black pants there is what you are talking about. If you click on it they will give you different angles of the pants.

Yikes. Am I the only one that finds every single pair of pants listed to be hideous? I’d feel like a complete idiot wearing those things.

I didn’t look at all the pix because I don’t have time. I figure if the OP likes it, wear it.

@jca @livelaughlove21 They are a little garish. I am trying and failing to picture them on someone. I was hoping that would change my opinion. The ones I saw were beautiful the lightly swirled when she turned looked very graceful and dramatic.

@Pandora thanks for the effort I can’t open that page on my phone right now will try later.

@livelaughlove21 ” Am I the only one that finds every single pair of pants listed to be hideous?”

Maybe. I’m diggin’ everything presented thus far. A new line of pajamas? Perhaps I’ll try them me-self, being one very secure with his own masculinity :)

@Unbroken “I am ashamed…”

Surely if you have enough gazookas to wear these threads, you aren’t ashamed of anything.

Ok to be honest I didn’t much like the pants shown. Though minus the odd colors and some minor modification they are decent. For example some of these I would enjoy trying. Vogue harem pants

Though some would be awesome for haloween or a costume thing. @RealEyesRealizeRealLies

This was the closest thing I found to the original thing. Somewhat less obnoxious

Thanks for getting me started in the right direction. The harem pants triggered a related search where I stumbled upon these.

“Somewhat less obnoxious”?… orly? Just ordered. Gonna make my butt look magnificent!

Just what I need to get the girl, and divert attention away from my bald spot… i mean, my wisdom crown.
