Hostess Twinkies are back! Do you think civilization as we know it is saved or could you care less?

I’m not particularly sold on the merits of either one, to be honest here.
Grocery stores, though. I’m 100% in favor of grocery stores.
Mmm, looks like my question hit a totally different audience than I intended. Think I’ll stick with the kind that comes in a cellophane package and sates sugar craving, if not nutritional, needs.
Now that they’ve returned we can all go back to not caring about them.
@Pachyderm_In_The_Room Oh, I don’t know. I have a feeling the twinkie in my link wouldn’t mind being wrapped in cellophane and he certainly satisfies my sugar craving. :)
I discovered Tastykake. I don’t think things will ever be the same.
@serenade, if I can locate them here I’ll give them the ol’ Pachyderm taste test.
Twinkles are back?!! Do they taste the same?
@Supacase I was wondering the same thing.
Also, YAY!!!!!! Twinkies are back. Now, what about Suzy Q’s?
Twinkies suck, dude.
They’re like too sweet or something.
I only liked HoHos (best), and then Ding Dongs. Don’t know why the different shape made a difference i the taste, but it did.
It really makes to difference to me.
@Supacase, they were always too sweet for me, too, like I gave a s**t. I’ll get a package as soon as they’re available here and give it a try.
My favorite junk cake was Hostess cupcakes, especially the vanilla version.
Hey everybody, I figured most of you wouldn’t care. The only reason I do is because it’s nice to see an old familiar product, even if it’s brimming with sugar and chemicals.
Twinkies taste completely awful. But candy corn and Peeps taste even worse in my opinion.
I’ve never had one. I don’t think they even sell them here. Aren’t they some disgusting chemically enhanced confectionary?
Never cared about Twinkies; I wish Colombo brand sourdough bread would come back, though (they were owned by Hostess). I remember loving that bread when I was 5…
So, they were off the market for 8 months, and now Hostess doesn’t have to pay retirement benefits to all those workers. Someone should be talking to a lawyer.
@filmfann The old Hostess company is gone ( went bankrupt ) , the new Twinkies are made by another group that bought the name and recipes.
@Bellatrix They are a delicious chemically enhanced confectionary.
Wow @filmfann… the plot and fake cream thickens. So Twinkies are disgusting, chemically enhanced confectionary, produced by an unethical, employee cheating company.
I am glad it makes so many people happy. I guess it reminds many of childhood as we all seemed to bring some variant of those treats to school in our lunch boxes. These days that stuff qualifies more as entertainment than it does food. I have become old, and I have the metal lunch box to prove it!
