What is the appeal of Candy Crush Saga?

I swear I’m the only person, besides my family, who doesn’t play this game. My Facebook feed and ticker are littered with so and so is mixing Color Bomb + Striped Candy on Candy Crush Saga or the profile pictures of friends of my friends (people I don’t know) who are beating them at the game.

So, what gives?
