How can I get my question mark character to work on my laptop.

I just get É and é my computer is a Aspire S3 Intel coreI5 windows 8 laptop.

Holding down the Alt key while you type the digits “63”, and then releasing the Alt key might work.

If you don’t have a separate numeric keypad, then it’s a bit more difficult, because you’ll probably need to do Alt – Fn key – and find the letter keys that have the superscripted “6” and “3”.

Alt-63 is the ASCII value for the ?

You might want to check to see if your computer has some kind of key mapping program running at Startup which remaps the keyboard keys to produce different outputs. (If you don’t have one, you can always run one, too, and make sure that the keys you want are the ones that are mapped properly.)

I use AutoHotKey (free from AutoHotKey.com) to remap all sorts of keys on my computer. It’s incredibly helpful.

@CWOTUS It does not work. I did a full virus scan and it said I do not have a virus The quotations do not work either.

I got it to work… I switched languages to US English ???//’’” thank you Its all better.
