General Question

Where can one go online to answer questions when they want to relax and forget about real world problems?

Asked by jonsblond (44203points) June 27th, 2013

People take their shit too seriously on some sites. Is there such a place to go without being challenged or questioned with every answer you write? Real life is enough of a challenge and some of us don’t need a challenge 24/7, some people want to get away from that for a moment or two and have fun in their own way. Do they need to become anonymous? I’ve noticed the newbies aren’t questioned as much, they are a bit ignored. I know because I’ve been a newb.

I know, I’m dreaming. Disconnection is probably the answer. Right?

I ignore the bad stuff and get enjoyment from the rest.

When one ignores more than enjoys it’s kind of hard. Disconnection must be the answer then.

You might want to take a look at notalwaysright.com

One amusing true story after another, submitted by people who experienced them during their workday.

It is one of those “alright, I’ll read just one more” sites, and before you know it an hour has gone by….

@OneBadApple You had me at I am a soft spoken female technician with a ‘young’ sounding voice. That’s me, minus the technician part.

Thanks!

I’ve found that this site distracts me from my real world problems.
I get a lot of laughs from some of the responses here, plus I find that some of the questions make me think.
Thank you Jellies for the entertainment. :0)

@Katniss Good for you. This site has been more bad than good for me lately. It has its ups and downs. I don’t want to think right now. I want to forget. That’s my point here.

Start your own blog and call it “Only Fun Stuff.” Or petition Fluther for a designated section for that category. I’d back you on that petition.

Only fun stuff would be social, but that’s no guarantee. lol :)

Well, it’s not about answering questions, but cakewrecks.com is an amusing time waster. I also enjoy the notalwaysright family of sites.

That was cute how @Katniss didn’t realize @jonsblond was complaining about this site.

@FutureMemory I’m still new!! lol

Your not obligated to respond to posts that irritates you so saying that, you can go to almost any forum and find a certain amount of fun.. just be selective and refuse to get caught up in something that’s not acceptable to you. As for me, I have no suggestions.. Fluther is one of the better ones but in general I simply work on my own web site and write or do what I choose then publish it with or without the approval of others.

That’s a good idea @chewhorse. work on my own web site and write or do what I choose then publish it with or without the approval of others.

Thank you for answering.

Thanks for acknowledging my suggestion, I’m sure you’ll enjoy doing it as I have. Not trying to make a spam out of this but if you go to: http://www.headprimer I’d appreciate the visit.
