Why do the Mexicans/Native Americans at my school think they're so good?

I’m in the seventh grade and all of the Mexicans and Native Americans think that they can beat me up (I’m white) ,when I’m pretty sure I could beat up all of them. I have no problem with them and some of them are really good friends of mine, but this kind if crap really annoys me.
