Have you ever hated a half of a song, but loved the other half?

The first two minutes of Bruno Mars “Locked Out of Heaven” is the most irritating song of the year in my opinion, but I think the last minute and a half is extremely good. Has there been a time that a song has done this to you?

Yes! I love Damien Rice’s ‘Volcano’ but absolutely hate the bridge. First half – great. End – great. The middle is awful.
I find a lot of the time I will love a song up until the point someone starts singing. It’s like awesome rhythm , talented musicians and then just blahhhhhhhh.
Yes. Vivaldi’s Summer comes to mind. Parts of the piece I am downright bored. The best part of the song is the last minute and a half, which is usually what most people are familiar with, even if they don’t listen to classical typically.
Yep. Mariah Carey’s “Beautiful” comes to mind. I like the guy’s parts, but not Mariah’s.
Yes! The song “In The Sun” is beautiful, but there’s this one refrain that goes, “May God’s love be with you, always.” And while that’s a nice sentiment, I like to play the song on my ukulele and feel like I’m alienating all of the atheists in my audience.
Free Bird… My first slow dance in JR High School with Kathy Wolverton. She had boobs and I was v.a.r.y excited. The song ends with a fast medley which cannot be slow danced to by any JR High School kid standards. So we broke our passionate embrace, and began to do the only dance we knew back then… The Bump. I hate The Bump. Not easy to do with The Boner.
Akon’s “Beautiful” is a great song until the rap lyrics start. So I just listen to half of the song.
I absoultely LOVE this song…. just wish Lupe Fiasco didn’t sing in it…
We’re so sorry, Uncle Albert, but we haven’t heard a bloody thing all day.
Yes. Black Parade by My Chemical Romance. I love the first part, the second half is mostly “meh”. It feels like they’ve taken two different songs and stuck them together, badly.
