How strong is my Mexican heritage if my Abuelita(my mom's mom) is from Mexico?

My Abuelita is from Mexico and her family has been there as long(far back) as the Aztec empire. No rude comments please. My parents were born in America. My grandparents(my dad’s parents) were born in America too. I think my grandma(my dad’s mom has German heritage but I’m not sure. I don’t know much about my mom’s dad(I don’t feel right calling him my grandpa if I don’t even know him) because he left when she was only four years old.
