Love it, especially with frosting. But I don’t eat it anymore except sugar-free and wheat-free.
Mmmmmm cake. Yes I do. Though I try to leave it alone, as one piece just doesn’t seem to be enough.

That’s life, some days it deals you ass, some days it deals you fruitcake, and if you’re lucky it deals you carrot cake.

I prefer other types of desserts to cake, but that preference has never slowed me down when a lovely cake is my only option. Fruit cakes are bricks in clown costumes, and I’m afraid of bricks and clowns.
It is my favorite dessert. I prefer cake to pie and ice cream any day.

I like pie better than cake, if I had the option of choosing one over the other. Boysenberry pie is my favorite, but I also like @Mama_Cakes choice of blueberry.
I don’t care for chocolate cake at all, it’s way too sweet. Well, that’s not entirely true, because I do like German chocolate cake (which isn’t German in orgin, it was named after a chocolate company/brand called German) which seems a lot less sweet to me, and I love the caramel coconut frosting.

I am one of those odd people that enjoy fruit cake, and I also like rum cake and carrot cake.
Not thrilled with angel food cake, or regular white or yellow cake.
Oh, I almost forgot, I love Date Cake which is more like brownies, but not as sweet.
Cakes made from scratch with natural ingredients that aren’t very sweet are delicious. Most boxed mixes hurt my teeth and taste gross, some fake icings leave a slime on the roof of my mouth… eeewwwwwww.

I don’t like the traditional birthday cake, though. That buttercream icing is gross. Whipped isn’t much better.
The best cake I’ve ever eaten was from Publix, at my bridal shower. It was a fluffy white cake with a layer of strawberry filling between the layers with cream cheese icing. Soooo tasty.
Oh! And cupcakes! Mmmmmm….

My late grandmother left behind a recipe for her chocolate cake with mocha frosting. That is my favorite.

I’m not a huge fan, but I do love spice cake or carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. Oh, and salted caramel cupcakes! So. Good. I’d take a piece of pecan pie over any of those, though.

Only once in a while. I’m not very fond of sweet food, but I do like a nice moist lemon drizzle cake. My daughter abjectly hates cake, and always has since she was a very small child. Something about the texture she cannot bear.
I adore cake. A good part of my reputation revolves around how much I love cake.
