Can I get some Ebay help?

I’m unaware of any eBay service which estimates the selling price for unique objects.

Might want to post the photos here and get opinions on what folks might spend.

But really, I’ve been selling high end eBay items for a decade. My best advice to anyone is to post no reserve with starting bid of one penny. Items typically sell for much more that way.

This generates a lot of interest up front, and make folk believe they can get into a bargain. The high bid count generates more interest in folks wondering what all the hoopla is about. You’ll get way more views and bidders. The low ballers will fall away and the high bidders will battle it out within the last ten seconds. No lie… on a one week auction, the price will level out after two days, and action will cease until the very end. Then you’ll see the bid price shoot up 25–50% in the last ten seconds of the auction.

On questionable items, I always have a couple of friends handy to bid my preferred price within the last minute. This is just like setting a reserve price, but without the extra cost of setting reserve on eBay.

Just put it out there with great photos… Answer all questions quickly… Ensure you’re covered well on packaging and shipping… and put it out there for the market to decide.

They never gave me an exact quote either when I was selling, but they would give their own personal pinons.

I don’t plan on selling the chairs, though.

I might post the pictures on antiques hobbyist sites or maybe Antiques Road Show has a site or try the Kovels and see what stirs up. Would you post them so we could see them? You’ve piqued my curiousity.
