They used to say “don’t trust anyone over 30.” Does the same apply to Fluther at 30,000 lurve?
Do you treat comments from jellies with more lurve differently?
I don’t. But you may not care due to my lurvelessness….

To be honest I hardly ever notice. If I do I often forget.. But then again I am not of awarded such honors. Maybe when I have earned them they will mean more to me…
But then again a number is just number… and numbers are so constraining.
When Mark Renton was a young teen, he used to think that everyone over 20 was a wanker. Now, at the age of 25, he’s convinced he was right.
But nah, I don’t distrust people over 30, or homies on here over 30,000 larvae.
It was “don’t trust anyone under 30”
heavens to Betsy
I tend to trust the people I know and lurve more…....except there was that one guy.
Having been here for a few years, I know by name and icon which jellies who have been here long enough to accumulate 30K to trust and which not to trust, and which ones are fun, but not necessarily good sources of answers to questions.
I trust everyone and no-one.
When did they used to say that? And why would the say that?
@livelaughlove21 Ha. lol…I can now say I know sumpin about you. You didn’t grow up around where I did.
Not anywhere near Berkeley, u first.
@woodcutter I’m not anywhere near Berkeley either. Opposite end of the country, actually. That’s just the first of the many pages that showed up on Google indicating the phrase was, in fact, “don’t trust anyone over 30.”
They stole that phrase from the ol folk as a parody. Edited it accordingly
@woodcutter Whatever, dude. All I’m saying is that you corrected a phrase that didnt need correcting, as that is a saying from the 60’s. Hippies used to say it.
I prefer:
*“the lurve you take,
is equal to the lurve…
you make…”*
You don’t get 30,000 lurve unless you’re lurveable.
I may trust the newer people a little less. Many times the newer people turn out to be trolls. If you reached 30,000, it is unlikely you survived on fluther as a troll. But honestly, I rarely look to see how many points anyone has unless I don’t recognize the name.
Trusting anyone on the internet is a mistake, most of the time.
@harangutan Hey the internet is made up of all real people and they all tell the truth always….take that back.
@harangutan What’s surprising about that. Everything is a mistake most of the time. Why should the Internet be any different?
@woodcutter No. Not taking it back. :P
@ETpro Everything is a mistake most of the time? That sounds like a hot mess.
@harangutan And in what manner does “a hot mess” differ from the world we find ourselves living in?
Maybe your world is a hot mess, but not mine @ETpro. :)
This world is a hot mess, and with global warming now well underway it will get hotter and messier as time goes on. Unless you live on some other planet, that’s the future you face.
You get to choose to be miserable or happy in this hot mess. I choose to be happy. good night, sir
I’m actually happy too. I just don’t need to wear blinders to be so. Good night to you too.
wth? wear blinders? Where are you getting this from any of my comments? I’m only responding because you are responding to me. I was playing along. I wear no blinders old man.
Yeah, don’t trust anybody over 30!
It’s past your bedtime, young fellow. Go to sleep like you promised above.
