What do you think about changing baseboard color from one room to the next?

I’m considering doing very dark wood kitchen cabinets in a house I might be building. Possibly ebony, which is basically black. If not ebony, it will be very dark brown. I was thinking maybe paint the baseboards to match the cabinets and a light colored tile floor, light walls, and light granite or quarts counters. However, it is possible I will do wood floors in the main entry and I think white or light baseboards would look best with the dark floor. Have you ever seen different baseboard colors in a house? Will it look like a hodge podge? The house will be about 3,000 sq. ft.
