I’ve had insomnia for about two months now, and I’m wondering if there are long term effects other than being tired all the time

Ten things to hate about sleep loss
Welcome to fluther. My college roommate and I were studying late for a test. We had the radio on. The DJ announced that a significant lack of sleep was associated with mental health issues. We looked at each other and burst into laughter. We’re both still mostly intact.
Besides the health factors listed above, lack of sleep can leave you more susceptible to car accidents and other accidents.
If you tend to fall asleep when you shouldn’t be sleeping you can miss appointments, it can wreak havoc on your life.
But, if you get plenty of sleep hours, you just are having trouble sleeping at night, I think it isn’t a big deal if you are able to have a nonconvention sleep pattern and still do your job, etc. If you aren’t sleeping because of stress in your life, your mind is always on, obsessive thoughts, or just general anxiety, then the anxiety itself is a health factor, let alone lack of sleep.
I’ve been struggling with a difficult-to-treat sleep apnea since the end of last year. My brain is 20% of what it was a year ago. I’m serious. Sleep is very important.
Horrible. When the hallucinations start it’s really bad. See a doctor.
