Not since I’ve been around, thank god! That would have chased me away fast.

Some still do.

ETpro's avatar

No. But “...don’t forget to GA if you liked!”

_Whitetigress's avatar

@ETpro Lol. The reason I ask is because it seems so in a non chalent manner on other social media sites by the youth.

augustlan's avatar

Nope. Every once in a while someone will say something like “What, no GA for that?”.

@_Whitetigress What a difference a few decades make.

I don’t remember anyone ever saying that, thank fuck. Would sound like FaceBook.

I’m posting a picture of a dead kid with leprosy cancer who had his balls bit off by a pit bull shark. He left behind his kitty. CLICK LIKE IF YOU’RE NOT A HEARTLESS PIECE OF RECTUM SHIT. COMMENT IF YOU’RE NOT A NAZI, YOU BOOTLEGGING PEDOPHILE.

ZEPHYRA's avatar

Yes, but how many times have you found yourself clicking on your own “Great Answer” hoping that magically the line below it will disappear!!!! Mwahahahahahahahaha!

Ah and the same as above goes for Great Question!!!!!

Occasionally, but it wasn’t widespread. When I saw it I flagged it.

arstechnica.com allows you to vote comments up and down. Any mention of voting gets your comment buried so fast.

I dunno, it’s now packed with idiots saying shit like…“I only want the nice people to answer”
Yes, we know it’s a piss take & has morphed into a meme of sorts, but wow does it sound fucking lame.

PhiNotPi's avatar

Whenever I want large numbers of GAs, I just trick other users into giving them to me.

I go with talking about my penis.

@Symbeline You summed FB up perfectly- it is the best way to call out heartless pedophile racist homophobe sickos. ~

@johnpowell Lurve

@Symbeline Rectum shit. As opposed to the other kind of shit? :)

janbb's avatar

No. It would be considered tacky in the extreme and very declasse. Although I did once start a thread in Meta bitching about how I would never get to 40K! :-)

downtide's avatar

I would moderate a question or answer that included begging for lurve points, and ask them to remove it. But I’ve never actually seen anyone do that.

@livelaughlove21 Yes. There’s fecal vomiting (or copremesis) where the contents of the intestine are forcefully expelled in the wrong direction.

This “oral diarrhea” could easily be confused with many facebook status updates.

You’re confusing us with YouTube.

“Don’t forget to rate, subscribe” etc.
