Could this be an easy update/upgrade for Fluther [inside for details]?

Asked by _Whitetigress (4378points) July 28th, 2013

I just thought it’d be a neat idea if Fluther could fix the “refresh” mode upon clicking a “stop following” question.

For instance:
1. when you go to “Questions For You”
2. go to “Questions You Asked”
3. click “Stop Following”

The page then refreshes and sends you back to the top. My question is, couldn’t there be a simple update or something where you can click multiple “Stop Following” instead of having to “Mark All As Read”

I don’t know, it’s not a huge deal by anymeans. And I know, I’m a noob here to Fluther who just wants to change the way the site is run but yeah how likely could this update be done?

If not for Fluthers sake, what is this programming called anyways in case I come across this when creating my own website one day.

I’m pretty sure that would be a piece of cake to get done. But remember, Fluther is in limbo right now, no one is working on the site itself, other than to fix shit up when it crashes and stuff. But as for updates and additions, for the time being, nothing is going to happen. When and if it will ever is undetermined, least so far’s I know.

Ah! I wasn’t aware the site was in limbo as far as updating is concerned

There is no programming being done on the site. It would be a neat fix though!

What I do to avoid the jump to the top and the blue banner, is right click on “stop following” and then select “Open Link in New Tab”.

It probably wouldn’t be hard, but as others have said, no development is being done on the site.

I’ll do it! I’m a programmer.

Anyone interested in volunteering to work on the programming (or in joining the moderation team, for that matter), send me a PM and we’ll discuss it. :D

Now that someone who used to be a mod has left at least for the time being, perhaps another mod-recruiting thread is warranted.
