Is my story sad or more pathetic?
I was diagnosed with BDD and Schizo-affective Disorder. I actually spent 3 years alone in my grandmas guest room without leaving it. I came from a very abusive and neglectful home. Once my family tried to get me to leave and I flipped out and they called the police and I got charged with 2 counts of Terroristic Threatening and spent the next 2 years in jail and boot camp. I now have depression and want to die because I feel like my life has been terrible. I am only 28 years old too.

Is there a difference?
Hopefully you’re getting counseling and medical help. Best wishes.
I am sorry that this has happened to you. Life is worth living. With help, you can get over your depression and get out in the world. Are you getting psychiatric help? Are you on medication?
I don’t believe you . What country are you in??.
are you some how talking to us from a proxy?
To me, it’s sad. So many people can trace adult issues back to childhood. No child should be abused or neglected, let alone to the point that it makes your adult life miserable.
I suggest you find online or other group’s to join to talk about mental illness. The National Alliance for the Mentally Ill, where my mom works, has many ways to help and is all free of charge. PM me if you’d like more information, or you can look it up online. Peace and good luck, sweetie!
I think it is sad. Life is a real bitch, and it sounds like you have had it rough. I hope you find a way to be able to cope with the the rest of it.
None of your previous questions show a disturbed personality. Perhaps you are having a bad day.
Any way you cut it, the things that have happened to you in the past really suck.
However, the difference between sad or pathetic is really up to you. Are you here for help to try to change things and move forward? Or are you here to wallow?
Either way, good luck.
I wish you well.
It sucks, for sure. But, it can be better. So much better, I swear. Please get the help you need, and let us know if we can support you in that.
Depression is a difficult thing I know I suffer from it. I just take each day as it comes. Some are better than others some are really bad. So bad I can’t even explain. It is like my own mind is my worse enemy. If you are battling to go out and about I think @KNOWITALL had a good suggestion with online support. A friendly face or a friendly voice somewhere out there can and does help. Don’t think you are the only one that suffers this, you are not a freak, you are not a human being that should be disregarded.
Small steps each day one little achievement each day. No matter how small does help to build up your self confidence and self liking. We might be diagnosed with certain mental illness but we are not our illness we are more than that.
