Should I drink alcohol tonight or wait?
I took Abilify and Lexapro and 4 days ago I decided to stop taking them. I read that the lexapro only lasts about 24 hours but its the Abilify I am concerned about. Its been 4 days but its probably still in my system. So, would it be safe for me to drink tonight or not?

Did you stop taking them cold turkey or did you get weaned? Those drugs need to be weaned from your system, I wouldn’t drink any alcohol until okayed by your doctor.
I now have depression and want to die because I feel like my life has been terrible. I am only 28 years old too.
Two days ago you were lamenting the sadness and pathos of your life. Why then would you decide to stop taking the Abilify (prescriped for severe depression, bipolar and schizophrenia) and Lexapro (also an anti depressant) in an unsupervised manner?
Do you seriously think that alcohol is the answer, or are you pulling our leg?
Three years alone in your grandmother’s guest room? Terroristic Threatening (whatever that is), jail time, boot camp?

Aren’t you the guy who asked if it was normal to be able to drink a fifth and a half in a single night?
Are you unaware that alcohol is a depressant?
If you have a problem with chronic depression, why would you purposely want to make it even worse ?
Should you drink alcohol tonight? My vote would be a resounding NO.
But I have a hunch you’re going to do whatever you want to do anyway, common sense be damned.
But on the off chance you’re asking this sincerely, you should seriously consider giving up alcohol altogether. Obviously it hasn’t done you much good.
And with the tolerance you have for huge amounts, you’ll be destroying your liver way too soon. Liver transplants are pretty hard to come by. Quit while you’re ahead.
Don’t screw around with stopping anti-depressants cold, the results could be worse than the most horrible depression you have ever experienced and can last longer than you would expect. Three to six months to wean off something like that is about what it will take if you are taking a full dose. Don’t drink unless you have to, if you are drinking the amounts stated above just stopping can cause problems like seizures. Go to the doctor and be honest with the amounts and times so you can get proper help.
