What is normally done for a cat who has allergies (sneezing/watery eye kind)
He’s had all of his shots, so he’s good to go.
Just started with sneezing/watery eyes. He’s only a year and a few months.

Try changing your cat food brand, your flea control, or kitty litter.
Did you just get him from the shelter?
If so, its quite common for them to have an upper respiratory infection, the watery eyes being the first sign.
Every cat I’ve ever gotten had this for the first week or so. Sometimes it required antibiotics other times, if mild, it just ran its course. I always tried to keep them away from my other cats till it cleared.
@Buttonstc I’ve had him for over a year. He had his shots last October.
Did you get any new plants recently?
Cats can have seasonal allergies just like people. My siamese in my avatar goes through allergy issues in the spring but she needs no treatment. She sneezes and looks a bit droopy but it passes. Unless it is chronic, year round, don;t worry about it.
Watery eyes is not good. My cat has seasonal allergies, but never leaky eyes. Watch him. If he becomes lethargic or stops eating he needs to be seen by a vet.
Maybe not leaky, but he looks punky.
@tinyfaery what are the symptoms of seasonal allergies?
Sniffling. Sneezing. The boogers that come out should be white or yellow. If they are green that means an infection.
There’s a common virus that affects cats and pretty much stays in their system forever, only the symptoms are treatable. What you describe sounds a lot like it, so make sure to rule that out with your vet.
It is odd, as today he is up and running around. Eating like a champ and drinking fine.
I’ll keep an eye on him and see how he does.
