Well, there is also Flutherites, jellies, squishies, Fluthermothers, and words not fit to say on a family site.
I like “jellies” the best!
I wouldn’t like it as the name of a new class of flatworms. I don’t think it would be a very good ship name. I’m sure glad it’s not my middle name – or any other part of my name, for that matter. I’d hate to live on Flutherians St., Rd., Dr., Blvd., Pkway., Ave. or Circle (although it would make a great name for a few Peachtree St. or Ave. replacements in Atlanta). And I sure as HELL wouldn’t fly Flutherians Airlines (or live there).
Otherwise… meh.
Are we looking for new names? Kind of sounds like Lutherans, Seminarians, Barbarians. On the other hand, where else have you heard of a group of jellies or anything similar sounding?
I say “flutherfolk” when I don’t say “jellies.”
I like squishies. Sounds cute and funny.
and we’re cute and funny.
To me that ^^^ sounds too much like something I wish I hadn’t stepped in.
And by the way, have you ever stepped on a jellyfish on the beach? Ewww. Come to think of it, maybe “squishies” is right.
Stepped on a dead fish once, if that counts.
I like to think of y’all as “wardies” ...affectionately of course.
I prefer “jellies,” probably because I’m used to it, but I do like the way “Flutherian” sounds. It reminds me of the adjective stentorian, which I’ve always loved.
Which came first, Flutherites or Jellies?
just wonderin’
It’s better than “Flutheronions”, but I still like “jellies” best. :)
Sounds like an alien race that Captain Kirk might run into. I like it.
We are from the planet Fluther, take us to your Leader
I seldom quote Tupac but I think he expressed it best when he intoned, ‘Ima be a jelly fo’ life’.
It sounds like some weird cult.
I like jellies or squishies the best.
I read an article about jellyfish and they used the term a fluther of jellyfish. I was jumping for joy. Irrelevant but I just wanted to say it.
I like it. It makes me feel at home here
