I made a chocolate mousse today using tofu and it turned surprisingly great. I put cayenne powder, cinnamon and vanilla extract in it, so it tasted like a Mexican chocolate pudding. Have you ever used tofu to substitute something? How did it turn out?

I have never made it at home, but I have eaten tofu ice cream in restaurants and it is very good.
I haven’t, but there’s no reason it shouldn’t be good. Tofu has a neutral flavor which can be changed by the addition of another flavor of your choice. The texture is creamy and similar to custard. I’d trust a recipe that uses it. I’m glad your pudding proved my point. Sounds good.
If you are interested in more recipes you could look up vegan or kosher desserts. The tofu ice cream was at a kosher Chinese Restaurant I used to go to sometimes.
I’ve made a Lemon Tofu Cheesecake similar to this recipe that turned out very good.
I’ve been wanting to try to make a vegan strawberry pudding. This One sounds good.
I’ve never made a dessert.
