What is wrong with my venus fly trap?

I have two and they are both sitting in my kitchen. Summer has brought many insects into the kitchen as there are flowers right by the back door. Butterflies, moths, bees and flies. My two little venus fly traps haven’t caught not one single insect?
Is it all a myth?
