I just watched Rock of Ages, and all I can say is...what the hell was that?

Was that supposed to be a comedy? Some sort of weird period piece? Did none of those actors stop at some point and ask what the point was? What has been seen can never be unseen, and Russel Brand and Alec Baldwin kissing has been burned into my retinas.
