I’ve been studying care in high school and now moving forward. I didn’t like it at first cause I have low patience. I enjoy watching Doctors do surgery on some TV shows that plays and wonder if I would ever do that.
I also enjoy watching cooking shows like Iron Chef and so on and enjoy cooking and recently apply for the school I am a little rusty with cooking but I think with cooking school I will get better and I am having doubts that I would not be successful with a cooking career.
Any advice??
Thank you in advance.

I’m not sure I would base a career choice on television watching patterns.
If you don’t have a particular interest, enroll in a general college curriculum and get exposure to many fields. Then narrow your major down.
Studying “care?” What does that mean? Health? Well, if you don’t like it and have no patience, I wouldn’t pursue a career in the medical field.
I agree with @syz that you shouldn’t base career choices on TV shows. I love watching House, but I don’t want to work in the medical field at all. I also love shows like Hell’s Kitchen and Bar Rescue, but I don’t want to work in the restaurant/bar/food industry either.
Earning a living as a chef is certainly possible, but you need to do more research on that path before you choose it. There’s more to the culinary arts than “enjoying cooking.”
I’d just start college as an undecided major and see what types of classes interest me the most. Don’t pick a major unless you’re sure that’s what you want to do, because switching majors is a pain. Pick a subject that you really enjoy, not just one that’ll earn you a lot of money.
With a few exceptions, everything is a people job.
If you can accept that and are good at it, then you can do about anything.
If you don’t believe that, or you don’t like people, your options are very limited.
Jethro Bodine used to speak of trying to decide if he wanted to be a brain surgeon or a short order cook. I had to look twice to make sure you had a different name.
If you lack patience, maybe you need to look at other careers. What do you do for a hobby that you enjoy?
A butcher cuts like a surgeon and a chef.
@Amo101 Swimming and running are hobbies, unless you plan on being a professional athlete. I believe @filmfann is asking about subjects you enjoy learning about – chemistry, math, psychology? Any subjects you’d like to learn more about – business, criminal justice, political science? Some hobbies can turn into careers – writing, party planning, working with kids?
